It adopts advanced hardware architecture design and provides the highest switching performance and rich data center business features in the industry.
To meet the demand for resource pooling in cloud computing data centers, the X54260 series supports a rich set of virtualization features such as VSS (Virtual Switching System technology) and data center features like TRILL, SDN, FCoE/FC1, etc. It can be used in conjunction with core data center switches to provide access to over 15,000 10G servers, offering a comprehensive network solution for super-large data centers.
The X54260 series is equipped with an operating system that has independent intellectual property rights. It provides high-performance L2/L3/L4 line-speed switching services and further integrates various network services such as IPv6, MPLS VPN, network security, traffic analysis, and virtualization... It combines various data center high-reliability technologies such as uninterrupted upgrade, uninterrupted forwarding, graceful restart, and redundancy protection to ensure the longest uninterrupted communication capability of the network.
Based on the advanced communication concept of ‘GreenTouch’ and the industry-leading ’Smart@CHIP’ intelligent chip green energy-saving technology, it significantly reduces energy consumption, is low-carbon and environmentally friendly, effectively reduces data center operating costs, and provides a perfect solution for the green and sustainable development of networks.
Product Features
Advanced Hardware Architecture Design With Leading Processing Capabilities
n Equipped with high-performance ASIC switch chips and multi-core processors, supporting up to 1.28Tbps switching capacity, meeting the high-performance, high-capacity, high-density, and scalable requirements of data centers.
n Standard front-to-back heat dissipation design, with flexible selection of airflow direction.
Rich Data Center-Specific Features
VSS(Virtual Switch System)Virtual Cluster Switching Technology
The X54260 series supports innovative VSS virtualization cluster switching technology that can virtualize multiple physical devices into a logical device. The virtual system offers unparalleled performance, reliability, flexibility, and management compared to independent physical devices.
n Doubled performance: The virtualized system can fully utilize each link between physical devices, avoiding link blocking by traditional network models’ spanning tree protocols. This maximizes performance and protects existing link investments.
n High reliability: Based on advanced distributed processing technology, the logical control plane and business data plane are separated through efficient cross-physical device link aggregation. This provides uninterrupted Layer 3 routing forwarding, avoiding business interruptions caused by single point failures and greatly improving the reliability of the virtual system.
n Flexibility: With the X54260 series’ virtual cluster functionality, the distance of the virtual cluster system can be extended up to 80 kilometers. This flexibility breaks the geographical limitations of traditional clustering technologies.
n Easy management: The entire virtual system achieves unified management with a single IP. The actual physical devices are transparent to users, simplifying network device and topology management. This significantly improves network operation efficiency and effectively reduces operation and maintenance costs.
Unified Switching
It supports FCoE (FC over Ethernet) technology, solving the heterogeneity problem between LAN networks and FC storage networks. This enables the convergence of computing, data, and storage networks, achieving unified switching.
Data Center-Grade Reliability
n Based on the HPS (Hitless Protection System), the key power system adopts redundant design, modular and hot-swappable, supports seamless switching during faults, and does not require business interruption.
n Supports protocols like STP/RSTP/MSTP, VRRP, ring network protection, double uplink primary-standby link protection, LACP link aggregation, and other efficient redundancy protection mechanisms.
n Supports ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade) for uninterrupted system upgrades, ensuring continuous data forwarding for users during system upgrades and main control switching.
n Ultra-high precision BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) mechanism, by linking with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, achieves millisecond-level fault detection and service recovery, significantly enhancing the reliability of the network system..
Supports energy-efficient Ethernet functionality, complying with the international standard IEEE 802.3az, effectively reducing energy consumption.
